El proyecto tiene el potencial de ayudar a impulsar el futuro energético limpio del país, reforzar la cadena de suministro nacional de minerales esenciales, hacer crecer la economía local y mejorar la calidad de vida en el condado de Santa Cruz y en las comunidades aledañas para las generaciones venideras.WHAT SOUTH32 OFFERS• Annual short-term incentive bonus that recognizes both your individual performance and the overall success of the business.• When you choose to contribute more into your retirement savings, South32 will match it up to a certain percentage.• South32 provides you with 4 weeks paid time off.• 12 weeks full-paid parental leave for primary carers and 2 weeks full-paid parental leave for secondary carersABOUT THE ROLEThis role is a Permanent position based in Tucson or Santa Cruz County.As a Lead, Communities-Hermosa you will be responsible for coordinating community consultation and social investment plans aimed at building strong and sustainable relationships that serve as the foundation to create and maintain a robust social liense to operate for South32 Hermosa.Other key responsibilities include, but aren't limited to:• Champion the South32 operating model, values, Code of Conduct, and Care Strategy and relentlessly address deviations from these.• Planning, managing, maintaining, and representing South32 in day-to-day stakeholder engagement with both internal and external stakeholders and key community leaders.• Manage and execute South32 Social Performance Standard and local Hermosa plans, specifically managing social investment and social performance programs.• Work collaboratively with local organizations and government to support the company's commitment to local procurement and employment plans and regional economic development planning.• Work in close collaboration with the community specialists, Communications team, Government Affairs Manager, Project Director, and other roles at Hermosa and in the Americas.• Establish and maintain relationships with government agencies and civic and professional organizations in the region to execute the Hermosa Stakeholder Engagement Plan.ABOUT YOU• Bachelor's degree in arts or science in a field that is linked to social Performance or mining.• Knowledge of federal, state, and local laws, legal codes, administrative procedures, government regulations, and agency rules as they relate to the social and environmental aspects of mining operations.• At least 10 years of experience in community engagement and social investment including a demonstrated track record of working with multiple local organizations (non-profit, government, etc)• At least 5 years of specific experience in projects related to mining or energy sectors.• At least 3 years of experience in leading teams in charge of community engagement processes, social investment programs, and consultation for mining projects.• Knowledge of best international Social Performance practices applied to mining projects, including Human Rights and tribal engagement.South32 is committed to building and maintaining an inclusive and diverse workforce that reflects the communities in which we operate.
