Job Details: Position: Lead Carpenter Compensation: $29.75 to $38.50 per hour Job Type: Full-Time Position Summary: As a Lead Carpenter at BARRIER CONSTRUCTION, you embody the heart of our mission, transforming and revitalizing homes with your skill and dedication. Your role is crucial in managing and executing a range of carpentry tasks, from addressing water damage to general carpentry work including roofing, siding, interior trim, and cabinet installation. Leading teams and coordinating with subcontractors, you ensure our projects progress smoothly from start to finish, leaving a lasting impact on the homes and lives of our clients. Key Responsibilities: Read, understand, and execute work according to blueprints and construction plans. Attend, and/or lead, pre-construction meetings with clients and key subcontractors to ensure project readiness and alignment. Conduct meticulous site visits for accurate field measurements, focusing on key components necessary for a successful process. Provide daily communication updates to the office manager and project manager, ensuring transparent and effective project tracking. Coordinate the work of subcontractors to ensure seamless project progression and preparation for subsequent trades. Manage the coordination of material deliveries, ensuring timely and efficient material availability for project milestones. Mobilize the team, trucks, trailers, materials, and supplies necessary for project execution. Create and publish the final punch list, overseeing closeout efforts with clients and subcontractors to ensure project completion to client satisfaction. Coordinate the final site clean-up, ensuring a pristine and orderly project handover. Conduct the final inspection with city inspectors, securing necessary approvals and compliance with local regulations. Requirements: Proven experience as a carpenter, with a focus on water mitigation projects and finishing carpentry. Strong understanding of construction, repair, and restoration practices, particularly in water-damaged environments. Ability to read and interpret blueprints and construction documents accurately. Excellent leadership and communication skills, capable of leading teams and maintaining effective communication with clients, subcontractors, and team members. Detail-oriented with a commitment to quality and precision in all tasks. Familiarity with coordinating material deliveries and managing project logistics. Ability to meet with city inspectors and ensure compliance with local building codes and regulations. Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
