Job Summary
The Operational Excellence team is responsible for driving value creation across all areas of the Enterprise. The Lead Business Analyst, Operational Excellence, will assess, analyze, and document the needs of internal business partners through elicitation and documentation. Additionally, this role will lead working sessions and various adoption-related activities to identify key high-impact strategies and prioritize efforts accordingly. This role is a key facilitator within the organization and will need to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams. The Lead Business Analyst, Operational Excellence, requires a hands-on approach, a passion for problem-solving and a continuous improvement mindset, and drives process simplification and automation. Essential Job Functions:
Relationship Management: Interact diplomatically with all levels of the organization. Partner with internal stakeholders to craft problem statements and document ideas and improvement recommendations, ensuring awareness of progress to manage expectations. Use problem-solving and critical thinking skills to overcome challenges and resolve issues. Lead and take part in meetings between key internal partners to discuss and proactively identify solvent efficiency efforts. Foster and coordinate communication across work streams. Collaborate with delivery teams to ensure smooth transition from business to functional requirements.
Requirements Elicitation and Data Analysis: Lead and support effective ideation sessions, author business cases, craft problem statements, and prioritize top ideas. Discuss new ideas, opportunities, identify patterns, and provide documentation updates. Manage all activities related to conducting preliminary cost/benefit analysis, needs assessments, and business requirements analysis in an effort to align business needs with solutions.
Documentation: Create content and documentation that clarifies complex topics and needs clearly and effectively while aiming for a specific goal. Manage the documentation and presentation process which involves developing a creative approach, writing content, and delivering the final product. Collaborate with stakeholders to create the story, write the problem statement, own the documentation and presentation, incorporate feedback, while meeting high quality standards and timeline expectations. Work with large amounts of data and information to present clear, readable, and understandable content by using visuals/spreadsheets that help all audiences understand complex ideas.
Communication: Use effective presentation and documentation skills to convey information to different audiences with the ability to explain complex topics in a clear, concise way while providing insight into business decisions. Ensure all levels of associates are informed, connected to the strategy, and have a way to express innovative ideas. Show outstanding verbal and written communication skills when working with all levels of the business. Responsible for key message development and information gathering as the subject matter expert on connecting the strategy to the business output.
Project Management: Plan, scope, execute, and complete projects using either a traditional or agile approach. Work effectively under time constraints and changing priorities to deliver on promised outcomes. Provide timely and informative status updates. Ensure all essential procedures are recorded and communicate clearly with all involved parties and that stakeholders are accountable to deadlines and/or deliverables.
Agility: Support different functions within the departments. Change direction and adapt quickly as business needs change. Utilize feedback to improve work and build on previous learnings. Work effectively under time constraints and changing priorities to deliver on promised outcomes.

Working Conditions/ Physical Requirements:
This position is hybrid with an onsite schedule of 3-4 days per month. In-office requirements are subject to change based on business needs. This position is currently available to candidates that reside within 60 miles of Columbus, OH.
Some travel may be required.
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in business, computer science or related field of study; or equivalent relevant work experience
8+ years of experience working in financial services or an equivalent regulated industry
6+ years of experience working in business analysis
3+ years of experience working in program or project management
Preferred Qualifications:
Master's degree in business, computer science, project management or related field of study.

Typical Starting Range:
$108,300.00 - $196,300.00 Full Salary Range for position:
California: $124,600.00 - $245,400.00 Colorado: $108,300.00 - $206,100.00 New York: $119,200.00 - $245,400.00 Washington: $113,700.00 - $225,700.00 The actual base pay within this range may be dependent upon many factors, which may include, but are not limited to, work location, education, experience, and skills.
Bread Financial offers medical, prescription drug, dental, vision, and other voluntary benefits (including basic and optional life insurance, supplemental medical plans, and short and long-term disability) to eligible associates (regular full-time associates scheduled to work 30 hours per week or more) and their spouses/domestic partners, and child(ren) under the age of 26. New associate elected coverage begins on date of hire (with the exception of disability coverage which has a 6-month waiting period). Six weeks of 100% paid parental leave for eligible parents is available after a 180-day waiting period. Hired associates can immediately enroll in Bread Financial's 401(k) plan.
All associates receive 11 paid holidays. Associates have discretion in managing their time away from work through the Flexible Time Off (FTO) program and may need to notify and receive approval from their manager prior to taking the time off. Associates (except those located in Illinois) receive 80 hours of Paid Sick and Safe Time ("PSST") upon hire and at the beginning of each subsequent calendar year. Illinois associates receive 40 hours of Illinois PSST upon hire and at the beginning of each subsequent calendar year and 40 hours of Illinois Paid Leave upon hire and at the beginning of each subsequent calendar year. Illinois Paid Leave must be used before associates in Illinois will be approved to take FTO.
Hired associates will be able to elect the purchase company stock during offering periods in June and December. You will be eligible for an annual incentive bonus based on individual and company performance.
