Responsibilities
• Understand operation of washing machines and dryers• Wash and dry all dirty linens, towels, rags, etc. as directed• Clean dryer filter daily and maintain equipment• Operate iron as per standard and ensure it is shut off• Fold linens/towels and stock linen carts• Practice safe work habits for guest and employee safety• Sweep and mop laundry floors• Be familiar with company policies and house rules• Remove and sort dirty linens and towels from carts• Keep laundry carts clean and free of debris• Stock linen closets throughout the hotel• Perform other assigned tasks/jobs
Requirements
• High School diploma or equivalent preferred• Experience in hotel or related field preferred• Clear communication skills• Ability to work well in high-pressure situations• Maintain composure and objectivity under pressure• Ability to push/pull laundry carts• Ability to occasionally pull linens from washer to dryer
