The client facing Landscape Designer takes clients all the way from being a sales lead, to being a highly satisfied client who refers friends and family.

The Position Full-time salaried; exempt Reports to General Manager No direct reports Compensation & Benefits Base salary plus commission Company vehicle Health, dental, vision, and life insurance 401-k with matching PTO Profit sharing Responsibilities Prepares and provides high quality landscape designs, specifications, and cost estimates that meet/exceed clients' needs and expectations Sell profitable design/build proposals that meet or exceed sales goals Manage projects sold (does not manage crew) This position is responsible for bringing a consistent flow of profitable design/build projects to the company by responding to company generated leads and continually prospecting for new business Other tasks as needed to support the company's objectives Initial client interview and consultation Site inspection and assessment Generate high quality landscape designs via design software Prepare thorough and accurate pricing proposals Presentation of the design and proposal in a professional manner to the client Sell the project within approved financial guidelines (size of project, costs, profit margin) Provide specifications and project management on all projects sold Actively monitor and aggressively pursue all proposals in progress Requirements (Ideal Candidate) Sufficient relevant skill & experience to be effective in this role Able to operate landscape design software Able to generate 3D renderings Willingness to not only design, but also sell and manage projects Have exceptional written and verbal communication skills Able to represent the company in a professional manner Able to work with very minimal supervision Be a motivated high-achiever Able to demonstrate leadership - especially leadership by example Live within 1-hour of Kalamazoo, MI or be willing to relocate Be a good fit in a family-first and friendly office Willing and able to pass drug test This description is for informational purposes and not intended to be an all-inclusive list of responsibilities or requirements.
