Job summary
Performs installation, repair, and maintain of the landscaping and grounds to ensure customer satisfaction around USU Housing facilities.Works as a member of the Grounds and Maintenance team, either with limited direction or under supervision.The Landscaper II reports to a Landscaper Lead.

Responsibilities
• Perform installation, repair, and maintenance of landscaping and grounds• Ensure customer satisfaction around USU Housing facilities• Work as a member of the Grounds and Maintenance team• Train and guide student and/or hourly employees• Perform preventative maintenance work• Organize resources and establish priorities• Diagnose plant conditions and recommend treatment• Operate landscape maintenance equipment• Operate heavy equipment (i.e. backhoe, skid steer)• Effectively communicate with co-workers and customers
Requirements
• Two years of experience or an associate degree/technical training in a related field• Skill in performing routine manual labor• Knowledge of plant materials and their cultural requirements• Knowledge of fertilizers, insecticides, and herbicides• Knowledge of irrigation systems• Ability to effectively plant and maintain trees, shrubs, flower beds, etc.• Skill in operating snow removal equipment• Ability to diagnose plant conditions and cultural needs• Knowledge of pesticides• Knowledge of irrigation equipment and methods
