They will work closely with the Landscape Maintenance Supervisor and other team members to ensure that all tasks are completed on time and to the highest standard.
Cut grass, trim edges, clean up, blow trimmings, fertilize and water turf areas and perform other lawn care duties as directed by foreman Dig, lift, operate small machines, load tools and equipment on and off trailers and trucks Spray and dust areas to control insects and or weeds Operate power equipment including, but not limited to, lawn tractors, lawn mowers, line trimmers, blowers, hedge trimmers, pruning saws, sod cutters, and chain saws Move and install soil, mulch and plant material to assist with the construction of landscape gardens and related areas Work strategically to perform tasks safely, efficiently and effectively Work with urgency and purpose Communicate with customers in a professional, polite and courteous manner. Answering any questions and addressing any concerns from clients Requirements Teachable attitude and a great teammate Minimum 2-3 years of experience in landscaping or grounds maintenance preferred. Capable of operating required equipment and tools in a safe and responsible manner Effective communication skills – must be able to carry out verbal instructions, read labels and signs and input information electronically Time management skills Ability to work both independently with little supervision, and as part of a team Ability to walk, stand, crouch for long periods of time and carry out strenuous physical tasks Valid driver's license is required for employment. Also, applicant must be able to be added to the company insurance policy. Able to work outdoors in various conditions including heat and humidity, rain, dust, noise, and cold Wear appropriate personal protective equipment at all times Compensation: You can expect: 40 – 50 hours per week in season. Approximately March 1 – December 15 and 40 hours out of season (weather dependent) Pay: depending on experience starts at $18-20 an hour depending on experience
