The Lamar County Agriculture and Natural Resources Educator position is responsible for managing ANR resourcesThis role requires a high level of independent judgment and a combination of office and field workThe position is administratively responsible to the County Extension Coordinator and the District Extension Director

Responsibilities
• Receive agricultural samples for identification and testing• Conduct ANR educational programs with prepared curriculum• Assist with outreach programming and training activities• Host programs focused on agriculture and homeowner topics• Assist in planning and facilitating ANR educational programming• Answer homeowner lawn and landscape questions• Conduct site visits for homeowners and agricultural producers• Utilize website and social media for program outreach• Collaborate with agriculture associations/industries• Identify important areas of need within the county
Requirements
• At least a baccalaureate degree in the field• Proficient in typing, filing, and computer skills• Good communication skills• Some degree of physical activity required• Driving is a responsibility of this position• Position requires direct interaction or care of children under 18 or direct patient care
