Kelly Science & Clinical is seeking a Lab Technician near Clinton, SC. Direct Hire Shift: Monday - Thursday, 4pm-2:30am
Pay: $19.75/hr
RESPONSIBILITIES: • Perform precise and well documented analysis in support of analytical testing on water, raw materials, in-process product and finished product, stability and investigational samples following the lab procedures and equipment.
• Prepare test / volumetric solutions, conduct assigned laboratory testing using general laboratory methods and established written procedures following laboratory safety measures and documentation.
• Calibrate analytical balance, pH meter, and similar equipment on daily basis following procedures.
• Verify and record temperature of lab equipment.
• Update the Lab Supervisor on the status of analyses on the samples of raw materials, in-process, finished product, stability and investigational samples / any out of specification or questionable test results.
• Help organize and clean laboratory. Perform all necessary housekeeping as directed and required.
• Remove Lab Waste: pour into hazardous accumulation container and then to the hazardous waste accumulation drums for disposal.
• Understand and comply with FDA cGMPs / cGLPs / GDPs / SOPs / Test Methods and other recognized standards such as USP.
• Understand and comply with SDS for hazardous chemicals.
• Work under direct supervision of the laboratory supervisor or Chemist.
• Organize incoming raw materials, in process, finished goods and stability samples for QC testing and the test data records.
• Perform all aspects of test methods used, including preparations of solutions, maintenance, and calibration of equipment (as needed), preparation of samples, and interpretation and statistical analysis of results maintains proper documentation as required.
• Assist in organizing retain samples of all production samples and assist in maintaining the inventory of retain samples of raw materials.
• Accomplish daily work assignments / projects in the laboratory in time and be flexible with shift and additional hours if necessary.
QUALIFICATIONS: • BS in Science field or 2 – 3 years with testing experience in a chemistry laboratory environment (must have performed testing)
• A basic foundation in analytical technique, with hands-on sample preparation and operation of analytical equipment and software preferred
• Experience with GC, FTIR, UV/Vis, ICP and other analytical instrumentation.
• Demonstrate good laboratory practices.
• Good oral and written communication skills.
