Minimum Qualifications: Requires technical knowledge in the field acquired through an apprenticeship, a 2-year degree, or professional certificate. Please contact your Human Resources office for an evaluation of education/experience in lieu of the required minimum qualifications.
Position Summary: Assisting with lab activities including counting spore yield, determining parasite identity through DNA extraction, PCR, and sequencing, and helping maintain colonies of lab organisms. Position is limited term and subject to end on December 15th due to temporary grant funding. Physical Demands: Extended periods of sitting at a desk/microscope. Moderate lifting, loading, and transportation of boxes, equipment. Handling of chemicals. Is driving a responsibility of this position?: No
