Responsibilities
• Lead team, schedule, and train employees• Ensure highest quality and efficiency standards in laboratory operations• Ensure coverage and performance• Foster morale and teamwork• Promote the company vision• Assist in managing daily operations of the microbiology laboratory• Use appropriate quality measures and follow relevant procedures• Troubleshoot and maintain equipment• Maintain accurate records and perform data analysis• Review and evaluate test data, investigate non-conformances, and implement corrective actions• Review applications, conduct interviews, and make hiring decisions• Train and document the training of technical staff• Remain current on technical advancements• Adhere to health, safety, and environmental regulations• Coordinate with salesperson and serve as a point of contact for clients
Requirements
• Bachelor's degree in Science or related field• 3-5 years of supervisory experience• Experience in laboratory procedures, data analysis, and computer operations• Strong leadership, initiative, and teambuilding skills• Experience with microbiological testing• Strong computer, scientific, and organizational skills• Excellent communication and attention to detail• Ability to work independently and as part of a team• Ability to learn new techniques and follow instructions• Authorization to work in the United States indefinitely without restriction or sponsorship
