Position Title: Laboratory Assistant

Job Type: full time, Contract, Onsite
Pay Range: $23.94/hr on W2 (must be able to work on W2 without sponsorship)

Position Description
This individual will provide laboratory support for Ecotoxicology and Safety Assessment Laboratory including but not limited to:
invertebrate colony maintenance, reagent preparation, invertebrate testing according to established protocols, methods and
Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and laboratory support to ongoing projects.
Responsibilities
o Support day to day laboratory activities including insect colony maintenance.
o Maintain laboratory supplies and reagents.
o Assist with development of invertebrate laboratory bioassay methodologies.
o Maintain laboratory documentation.
o Assist with laboratory studies to characterize the environmental safety of candidate products
Qualifications
o Associates or Bachelor's degree in biology, biochemistry, ecology, entomology, microbiology, plant science, or other scientific related field.
o Experience with invertebrate laboratory maintenance or bioassays for terrestrial and aquatic insects preferred
o Excellent detail-oriented organizational skills and record keeping ability
o Excellent oral and written communication skills
o Ability to function successfully both independently and in a high-performing team.o Proficiency with Microsoft Office
