The Labor and Delivery Staff RN will report directly to the Nurse Manager of Maternal Services. This person will feel supported by their Manager, by the tenured charge nurses, and by the Patient Care Technicians, and Nurse Aides during every shift. The Labor and Delivery Staff RN will provide outstanding patient care. This involves working closely with the patient's care team, coaching the patient during delivery, and ensuring that all assessments and care is top of the line. In addition, the position requires collaboration with the patient's themselves to assure that they are receiving the care they desire, and are comfortable during the birthing process. The Labor and Delivery Staff RN plays a critical role in the education of new mothers and must be able to create individualized care plans, and education tools.
