The person that takes this role will be expected to perform testing in the QC Laboratory in one or more of the Laboratories (Chemistry, Microbiology, and Isolator), with main role in the Isolator Laboratory performing sterility testing using Isolator technology (both half suit and glove port). The Lab Tech II works with other Lab teams members as well as engineers and manufacturing. A Day in the LifeResponsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned.Performs a variety of technical procedures such as preparing routine solutions and reagents and performing routine reactions.Makes and records observations; performs simple calculations; and collects and prepares data for evaluation.Conducts laboratory support functions such as stocking and distributing supplies and equipment; arranging and dismantling apparatus; and collecting, washing, and storing glassware.Performs technical and record keeping duties in conformance with company and regulatory policies and standards to meet quality and accuracy requirements.May analyze compounds and manage corporate compound collection.Performs technical procedures in one or more of the following areas: Production, Research and Development, Quality Control/Assurance, and/or Compliance/Environmental.Must Have: Minimum RequirementsMinimum of 2 years of relevant experience and may require vocational or technical education or certification in addition to prior work experienceMust have a high school diploma, or equivalentNice to HaveBA/BS in Scientific areaExperience working in a QCLaboratoryAseptic techniqueExperience working with Isolator technology performing sterility testingFamiliarity with GMP/GDP requirementsExperience developing, documenting and training process and proceduresPeople skills to understand cultural differences, adapts quickly, and collaborates effectivelyGood writing and documentation skillsGood organizational skillsGood verbal communication skillsExperience with Laboratory Information Management Systems (LIMS, MODA, SAP)Proficient with Microsoft Office programs including Outlook, Word, ExcelAbility to prioritize and execute, with high level of detail, on daily tasks effectively with minimal supervisionExperience with equipment set-up, cleaning, troubleshooting, calibration and operationAbout MedtronicTogether, we can change healthcare worldwide.
