Our pediatric healthcare facility is currently seeking a highly skilled and certified pediatric lab technician to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing various laboratory tests and procedures on pediatric patients, including blood draws, urinalysis, and microbiological cultures. The ideal candidate should possess excellent communication and organizational skills, as well as the ability to work well in a team environment.

Responsibilities:
-Collect blood, urine, and other body fluids from pediatric patients for laboratory testing.
-Prepare and analyze samples for laboratory tests and procedures, including hematological, microbiological, and chemical analyses.
-Perform quality control and calibration procedures to ensure accurate and reliable test results.
-Maintain accurate records of patient information, test results, and laboratory procedures.
-Troubleshoot and resolve issues with laboratory equipment and instruments.
-Adhere to safety guidelines and laboratory protocols to prevent contamination and ensure the safety of patients and staff.
-Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, including physicians, nurses, and laboratory staff, to provide high-quality patient care.
-Participate in continuing education and training to maintain certification and stay up-to-date with the latest laboratory techniques and procedures.
Qualifications:
-High school diploma or equivalent required.
-Completion of an accredited lab technician program and certification as a pediatric lab technician required.
-Minimum of 2 years of experience in a pediatric laboratory setting preferred.
-Strong knowledge of laboratory procedures, techniques, and equipment.
-Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
-Ability to work well in a team environment and collaborate effectively with other healthcare professionals.
-Attention to detail and accuracy in laboratory testing and record-keeping.
-Commitment to maintaining patient confidentiality and adhering to ethical and professional standards.
