Responsibilities
• Ensure health and safety is the number one goal• Perform laboratory analysis to determine characteristics and waste profile• Conduct various tests such as pH determination, screening for oxidizers, peroxides, cyanides, and sulfides• Perform compositing, packaging, and disposing of waste samples• Stock and organize laboratory areas and storeroom• Perform instrument checks for refrigerators, balances, hoods, thermometers, and pipettes• Adhere to good laboratory practices• Offer services wherever and whenever necessary to ensure success• Assist any laboratory shift as needed• Maintain regular and predictable attendance
Requirements
• High School Diploma or equivalent• One year of laboratory or laboratory assistant experience preferred• Basic computer knowledge, including Microsoft programs• Working knowledge of LIMS preferred• Ability to work well in a team environment• Excellent time management skills• Hands-on approach to testing, training, and equipment maintenance• Flexibility and willingness to work overtime as needed
