Job DescriptionA research technician is needed to manage the aquatic entomology lab in the Entomology Department at Virginia Tech led by Sally Entrekin. The lab is located on the main campus in Price Hall. This is a full time (40 hours/week salaried position that includes benefits). The position will include organizing and managing field work to remote areas with occasional overnight trips, data collection and analysis for aquatic entomology projects, and lab materials and equipment ordering and upkeep. Specific duties will include coordinating and leading field crews on days-long trips to sample macroinvertebrates, water quality, sensor downloading and other common aquatic sampling procedures.
