Responsibilities
• Provide technical support for customer laboratory environments• Manage lab computing aspects of installing, retiring, and relocating equipment• Implement Windows-based security• Ensure adherence to client's corporate policies through reporting and compliance programs• Act as technical support contact for field service engineers and external vendors• Provide technical expertise for system validation and change management• Document procedures, policies, troubleshooting, and best practices• Create and maintain a physical inventory of lab equipment, PC's, software, etc.• Perform system preventative maintenance based on client's schedule• Required Skills: Excellent customer service, troubleshooting, communication, task management, knowledge of laboratory safety practices
Requirements
• Bachelor of Science in computer science, life science, or equivalent industry experience• 3+ years of relevant technical experience including Windows technologies, networking, remote computing, and backup systems• Experience with virtual machine support (preferred)• Experience with scientific instrumentation (preferred)
