Viridian is a craft cocktail bar and restaurant located in Uptown Oakland offering contemporary small
dishes and desserts inspired by the Asian-American experience. Our award-winning establishment has
received recognition from Forbes, Esquire, SF Chronicle, and more. We are currently looking to hire a talented and dedicated Kitchen Manager to continue our vision of providing an award-winning, unforgettable experience for our guests. QUALIFICATIONS Minimum one year experience in running kitchens in quality-driven, high-volume restaurants Ability to provide clear directions and communication Strong passion for mentorship and team building Professional demeanor under pressure Good technique and ability to multitask Experience in inventory  Career-minded and self-motivated Food safety knowledge Thrives in high-pressure environments while staying upbeat, flexible, and ready to pivot Competency in creating and documenting kitchen SOPs, recipes, ordering forms, and all administrative aspects of managing a food program and staff Strong organization skills, detail-oriented, and dedicated to cleanliness Ability to work long shifts, carry at least ~35 pounds up and down stairs, and work evenings and weekends A positive, "whatever-it-takes" attitude that approaches obstacles as opportunities Passionate about contributing to an outstanding end-to-end guest experience Confident being filmed regularly, giving demonstrations, and interacting with guests and media representatives A love for the history of Oakland, Asian-inspired food, supporting local farmers, minimum-waste, and craft cocktails RESPONSIBILITIES Ordering Staff interviewing, hiring, scheduling, training, and management skills Maintenance of costs of goods and labor Staff scheduling Liasing with the General Manger  Quality Control BENEFITS
