Responsibilities
• Prepare and/or cook all meals for staff and campers• Effectively supervise the camp kitchen team• Create and implement a healthy menu• Purchases and inventories food while managing and maintaining the budget• Ensure food orders are accurate and made in a timely manner• Maintains the health departments requirements• Role model the YMCA's professional standards• Participate and contribute in Support Staff meetings• Follow all policies, procedures, and standards• Nurture children through purposeful programming
Requirements
• Minimum 21 years of age• High school diploma or equivalent• Serve safe certificate required• Ability to work within a budget and purchase supplies efficiently• Knowledge of and experience in food service• Knowledge of and experience in preparation of special dietary foods• Knowledge in safely and properly using kitchen equipment• Positive attitude and ability to build a cohesive team• CPR, First Aid, and AED certifications required• Meet the YMCA of Northern Utah Driver Requirements
