Summary:

Put yourself at the intersection of LGBTQ+ rights, Jewish identity, and the broader movement for social justice in American society. Keshet seeks a dynamic communications professional and project manager to join a phenomenal and supportive team. In this role, you will contribute meaningfully to the story of our work, helping to create communities of belonging in Jewish life, countering anti-LGBTQ+ extremism and bigotry, and protecting and advancing LGBTQ+ rights.

The Communications Manager will work in concert with all members of the Communications team to support the coordination and completion of projects across the department. This position will also work closely with Keshet staff from all departments to define communications projects, set deadlines, assign responsibilities, and complete administrative tasks.

Some of the project areas that they will be responsible for include: project management for the annual report and quarterly donor briefings, coordinating the development of new organizational swag/collateral materials, and website updates. This role will also be responsible for administrative tasks such as submitting bills and expense report completion.

The Communications Manager reports to the Senior Writer and works with Keshet staff across the country. We will consider candidates located anywhere in the United States.

Keshet's national office is in Boston with offices in the Bay Area, Chicago, South Florida, Texas, and New York, as well, and other staff across the United States.

Responsibilities: Plan, schedule, and coordinate fundraising communications projects, such as the annual report, quarterly donor updates, and fundraising events communications, as well as some cross-departmental projects
Clearly communicate project expectations and deadlines to staff and contractors
Manage organizational communications projects such as the online merchandise store, brand identity updates, and development of new collateral
Use Click Up project management software to keep projects on track and ensure clear communication within the communications team and between that team and other Keshet staff
Track project budgets, provide cost estimates, and submit expenses for communications projects
Format eblasts in Campaign Monitor system for sending mass emails
Perform text edits and routine updates to Keshet's website via content management systems such as WordPress and Divi
Provide writing and editing support for development communications and e-blasts
Proof or manage the proofreading of priority Keshet communications
Other duties as assigned
Qualifications: Passionate commitment to Keshet's vision and mission of advancing LGBTQ equality in Jewish life
Excellent verbal and written communication skills and ability to communicate effectively with a variety of audiences
Experience and comfort facilitating meetings
Extremely detail-oriented and capable of breaking complex projects into component parts
Highly proficient in Google Suite and Microsoft Office Suite
Ability to quickly learn new skills and software, including Salesforce, Canva, Box, Campaign Monitor, WordPress, Divi, and Click Up, among others
Able to anticipate risks and offer productive, proactive solutions
Strong time management, prioritization, multi-tasking, and organizational skills
Strong critical thinking, evaluation, and decision-making skills
Fun attitude, flexibility, and confidence in the face of short deadlines and unexpected pivots
Ability to give and receive clear feedback on work products with a range of stakeholders both within and outside the organization
Comfortable collaborating and coordinating across departments within a national organization with multiple locations
Commitment to bring a racial justice and gender equity lens to programs/work products as well as staff culture
Comfortable with the ambiguity that sometimes occurs in a fast-paced organization, and flexible enough to meet changing demands
Ease working with colleagues in multiple geographic locations and using technology to facilitate daily work and collaborative projects

Compensation:

$58,000-$74,000 annually

Salary is based on related experience, expertise, and internal equity; generally, new hires can expect pay between the minimum and midpoint of the range.
