Job Description:
Are you a detail-oriented individual with a passion for finance? [Company Name] is looking for a dedicated Junior Accountant to join our dynamic team. As a Junior Accountant, you will be an integral part of our financial operations, ensuring the smooth flow of finances within our single-family home renovation business.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in managing accounts payable and receivable to ensure timely payments and collections.
- Accurately record financial transactions through journal entries on a daily basis.
- Support month-end and year-end closing procedures.
- Contribute to the preparation of financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
- Reconcile bank statements and other financial accounts.
- Generate and maintain various financial reports to facilitate management decision-making.
- Collaborate with project managers to develop detailed and cost-effective project budgets.
- Analyze transactions and incorporate unforeseen costs into the budget.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 2 years of accounting experience.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field (preferred).
- Strong understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
- Proficiency in accounting software such as QuickBooks.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and Word.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
- Positive attitude with a willingness to learn and grow.
