Junior Accountant (Remote/Hybrid Role In Dc-Baltimore Metro Area)

This is a remote role with in-person attendance a couple of times per month at our Health Centers in Washington DC and in West Baltimore. 
ABOUT Edenbridge PACE (Program of All-Inclusive Care for the Elderly):   Edenbridge PACE is an integrated, home and community-based health care model designed to help seniors maintain their independence and remain part of their communities for as long as safely possible.  We care for our participants through a harmony of center-based services and personalized in-home care, spanning clinical, behavioral, and social services.  Our goal is to have a transformative impact on the particularly under-served and vulnerable communities surrounding our Centers in Washington DC and Baltimore. 
  Role in Brief:
We are looking for a Junior Accountant to plan, organize, and prepare financial-related functions for Edenbridge PACE and all subsidiary companies with financial statements that roll up to Edenbridge PACE, including budgeting, cash management, audit and tax preparation, purchasing, and accounting-related contract compliance.  This role will also be responsible for supporting the process of procuring, negotiating, executing, and monitoring PACE contract service providers.  This position will report to the Senior Analyst, Financial Services and Compliance.
  Responsibilities may include:
Preparing month-end close activities in accordance with the accounting close schedule. Preparing standard and ad-hoc financial analyses. Developing detailed documentation to communicate financial information and results. Reviewing payroll. Supporting contractual process from beginning to end, and helping to build a first-in-class procurement program; this may include contract execution, establishing and maintaining complete Contracted Community Provider (CCPs) files, ensuring compliance and accuracy, and completing monthly checks and follow-ups. Other duties as assigned. Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting with cumulative GPA of 3.4 or higher Thorough knowledge of accounting practices in the private and public sectors Thorough knowledge of accounting software (QuickBooks, NetSuite, etc.)  Working knowledge/Proficient with QuickBooks Working knowledge of debit/credit, journal entry, month-end close, auditing accounts payable, accounts receivable, accounts payable Excellent Excel skills Exceptional attention to detail & time management skills Strong verbal and written communication skills. Must be able to independently transport oneself to and from locations within the Washington DC-Baltimore metro area as necessary
