Junior Accountant

Our client is an established Non Profit seeking a Junior Accountant. This is a temp to perm opportunity.
This role will be responsible for the accounts payable cycle and support general ledger and financial reporting functions.
This is a hybrid schedule, 2 days onsite.
Essential Functions Review expense report claims for reimbursements. Perform credit card account reconciliations, account analysis, accrual calculations, and other related accounting documents/schedules. Responsible for month-end, quarter-end and year-end close for assigned functional areas. Prepare journal entries related to assigned functional responsibilities. Review and research accounting transactions for functional areas. Process payments in compliance with financial policies and procedures. Process payments in compliance with financial policies and procedures. Investigate, return PRs and reissue bounced ACH, Bank Draft and outstanding checks Monitor vendor accounts to ensure payments are up-to-date. Maintenance of balance sheet support schedules and research of reconciling items. · Assist with preparation and distribution of 1099's
