Collaborate with architects, contractors, and other professionals to develop comprehensive structural designs. Prepare detailed engineering plans, specifications, and cost estimates for structural components. Perform site inspections to assess existing structures, identify potential issues, and provide recommendations for remediation. Utilize structural engineering software and tools to model and analyze complex structures. Stay informed about advancements in structural engineering technologies and industry best practices. Review and approve shop drawings, construction materials, and structural systems. Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and support staff. Communicate effectively with project stakeholders, addressing concerns and ensuring project goals are met. Conduct structural assessments and evaluations to determine the integrity and load-bearing capacity of existing structures. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering; Master's degree is a plus. Fundamentals of engineering exam required. Knowledge of building codes, regulations, and industry standards. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
