Journeyman Electrician

Job Title : Journeyman Electrician  ________________________________________________________________________________________________ 
Job Summary : The Journeyman Electrician will be responsible for installing, maintaining , and repairing electrical systems in heavy civil construction and equipment shop settings. They will work independently or as part of a team to ensure that all work is performed safely, efficiently, and in compliance with industry standards.  
Duties and Responsibilities :  
Install and repair electrical systems, including wiring, lighting, and electrical panels   Perform regular maintenance on electrical systems to ensure optimal performance    Troubleshoot and diagnose electrical problems and provide solutions    Read and interpret electrical schematics and blueprints    Keep up-to-date with industry codes and standards and ensure compliance in all work   Communicate with customers to understand their electrical needs and provide recommendations   Train and mentor apprentices or less experienced electricians, as needed   Maintain a clean and safe work area and follow all safety protocols and procedures   Qualifications : Completion of an apprenticeship program and Journeyman Electrician certification  3+ years of experience in construction electrical installation and repair   Knowledge of electrical systems and codes and the ability to interpret schematics and blueprints   Familiarity with a variety of electrical tools and equipment   Strong problem-solving and analytical skills   Excellent communication and customer service skills   Ability to work independently or as part of a team   Ability to work at heights and in confined spaces, if required   Valid driver's license and reliable transportation   Disclaimer: This job description is not intended to contain a comprehensive listing of duties and responsibilities required of the employee.
