The IVF Technologist I works in Fertility Clinic and associated research laboratories under the direction of the In Vitro Fertilization Lab Director. This Research supports the Fertility program and increasing pregnancy outcomes. The caregiver in this role will have the opportunity to grow their embryology skills and join the clinical team.
The ideal caregiver is someone who:
• Has their Masters with some lab experience (preferred).
• Has experience with tissue culture techniques and working with microscopes.
• Has extensive experience in cell culture, immunofluorescent or molecular biology techniques (preferred).

Responsibilities: Performs clinical and research duties in a high-volume in vitro fertilization program. Other duties as assigned.
Education: Bachelor's Degree Biological Science or Biomedical Engineering. Certifications: None required. Complexity of Work: Within scope of job, requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a stressful environment. Work Experience: Two years research experience in cell biology or related field. Master's degree in a chemical, physical, biological or clinical laboratory science or medical technology may substitute for some of the experience requirement. Experience with tissue culture techniques and working with microscopes. Preference will be given to candidates with extensive experience in cell culture, immunoflourescent or molecular biology techniques. Physical Requirements: Strong eye-hand coordination along with manual dexterity. High degree of dexterity to produce materials on a PC. Normal or corrected vision. Extensive sitting and frequent walking. Occasional lifting or carrying up to 25. Personal Protective Equipment: Follows standard precautions using personal protective equipment as required.
