IT Support Specialist Opportunity!
In this High-Tech Global Company, you will be working with the IT Team to provide IT support to the company's growing employee base, taking a leading role in IT projects from conception, through implementation, and training, as well as other IT related initiatives as assigned. You will be the front-line team member for most employee IT support requests.
What Will You Be Doing? Manage the IT support request ticket queue. Support our multi-tenant VoIP phone systems. Work with or escalate issues to other IT team members as appropriate for resolution. Diagnosing and resolving hardware/software problems. Supports Cisco Meraki Network Infrastructure. Office 365 Administration and help employees best use technology at their disposal either by following company best practice or proposing new processes. New employee onboarding, including setup and employee IT orientation, and new workstation deployment. Active Directory Account Onboarding and Offboarding. Author and conduct monthly IT training sessions for interested employees. Support hardware peripherals such as printers, copiers, scanners by resolving issues or escalating to vendors when appropriate. Maintains conference room AV equipment Procure computer equipment as directed. Research, tests, and implements new software and hardware while supporting and integrating existing legacy systems. Experience working with consultants or vendors to drive and oversee project implementation. Recognizes areas for improvement by defining and/or developing business processes/procedures by researching and identifying enabling systems/technologies. Develops and maintains IT systems documentation and procedures. This is an on-site position at our headquarters in Simi Valley, CA. Hours are M-F from 8am to 5pm PST. What Do You Need to Be Successful? Have a minimum of 2 years' years IT support with experience in a Windows environment. A 2-year degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent education and experience. Experience with Microsoft Active Directory, Office 365, Microsoft Teams. Experience with LAN/WAN technologies, Routing, Switching, VMWare ESXi and vCenter, Pure and HPE Nimble SAN Storage, and Sophos Firewalls. Experience with Sophos Firewalls and Endpoint Security (Vendor supported). Experience with Cisco Meraki wireless network deployments (Vendor supported). A broad understanding of information systems technology. Strong Microsoft Office (cloud and software) skills including Visio. The ability to multitask and manage time with limited supervision is a must! Communicates in a professional manner, follows up on requests, and takes initiative to go the extra mile! Strong helpdesk and remote support experience AND the ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously. Ideally, experience with SolarWinds Remote Monitoring Management (RMM) cloud software (Preferred). As well as experience with Cisco iOS and switch port configuration (Preferred).
This is a full-time 6-month plus, onsite opportunity in Simi Valley, CA. Pay Rate: $32.50 - $38.50 per hour.
