General: Information Technology Specialist supports IT systems and equipment of a new 300-employee poultry processing facility. During the startup and technology updates, the IT Specialist works closely with Site IT Specialists and corporate IT team to support the installation and troubleshooting of plant systems, e.g., weighing, labeling, traceability, stun, QA, shipping, maintenance, PC's, printers, & core network infrastructure. The position reports to Complex Manager / Corp IT w/ a primary work schedule of M-F Day shift with flexibility to work additional hours, holidays, weekends, and overtime on short notice, as needed.
Specific Duties / Responsibilities: Helps install, operate, and maintain computer networks and communication systems. Ensures the safe/ efficient running of site's IT systems/ provides daily user assistance. Participates in the installations and operation of computers, printers, networks, machines & systems Troubleshoots equipment and software issues in offices and production areas. Supports external contractor services, repairs and maintenance of plant IT systems Works closely with IT specialist and corporate IT team in technology transfer / startup Ensures knowledge transfer & training of employees on computer-based systems and technology Openly shares recommendations for solutions, improvements related to IT systems Performs other related duties as necessary or assigned Requirements Education : Computer-based certification (preferred/ not required)
Experience: Min. of 2 years of related IT work experience(Preferred industrial environment/not required)
Industrial Equipment troubleshooting / repair
