Job Summary: UK HealthCare ( UKHC ) Information Technology (IT) is seeking an experienced, certified, IT professional for a Project Manager position within the Project & Portfolio Management Office ( PMO ). This senior level role will be accountable for efficient, effective delivery of professional services required to support the UK Healthcare Enterprise. The role requires frequent interaction, collaboration, planning, and cooperation with senior level UKHC leadership and stakeholders required to develop and deliver projects that meet Enterprise Business Objectives. This position will operate in a matrixed organization that requires excellent interpersonal skills, persuasion and influencing skills, and the ability to lead large multi-disciplinary teams through significant amount of varied work assignments. The following information represents typical skills and function required to successfully function in the Project Manager role: Develop, monitor, and control detailed Work Breakdown Structures ( WBS ) that can be used to develop Project Plans, Project Schedules, Resource Plans, Performance Metrics, Project Milestones, and Business Case(s). Mentor and/or lead stakeholders and associates in the mastery of project management principles and tools. Ensure adherence to established UKHC ITS PMO project methodologies. Align projects with business strategy. Develop, monitor, and manage Program/Project budgets. Develop, monitor, and manage Resource Plans. Develop, edit, and publish documentation relative to Project Delivery and Support of the end solution. Develop project briefings, updates, status reports, etc. in a format suitable for briefing senior level UKHC leadership. UK HealthCare is a comprehensive healthcare system consisting of the medical, nursing, health sciences, public health, dental and pharmacy patient care activities of the University of Kentucky in Lexington, KY, and in several off-site locations. UK HealthCare is expanding through the construction of a new properties and potential future acquisitions. This is a hybrid position. Skills /Knowledge/Abilities: The ideal candidate will operate effectively within a matrixed organization; have the ability to lead and direct others toward goal setting and attainment, taking into account divergent demands while managing scope and timelines; demonstrates strong analytical and qualitative research experience; be well organized; have exceptional communication skills (written & verbal); enjoy working independently as well as closely with their co-workers in a supportive team environment; outstanding computer skills (to include Microsoft Office); above average customer service skills; strong ability to engage and motivate others; active listening skills; and a thorough understanding of resource and employee management.

Required Related Experience: 7 yrs
Required License/Registration/Certification : None
Preferred Education/Experience: PMP Certification, and experience in Healthcare organizational experience preferred.
