Highly visible IT PM role supporting the Department of Transportation Office of the Chief Information Officer's Applications and Digital Solutions group as they work to modernize and migrate their systems. 
Participate in project meetings called by DOT, vendor, and contractors to discuss status of projects, specifications, work plans, schedules and any project related issues or tasks. Provide a wide array of support services in the area of IT project management. Advise and assist agency stakeholders, contractors, and vendors in planning, designing, developing, and implementing project plans to deliver IT solutions. Carry out program management tasks on occasion. Write relevant DOT technology and PMO artifacts. Research, prepare presentation and make presentation on technologies in general or specific projects. Interview stakeholders and compile reports on the status of pilot projects and proofs of concept. Develop processes, process maps, flowcharts in support of communication, acceptance, approval, adoption of process improvement efforts. Provide weekly report detailing assignments, with a short description of the work completed to satisfy direct oversight of this task order. Monitor contractor performance, analyzing project issues and risks, advising on corrective actions. Provide mitigation strategies as needed. Collect, review and distribute monthly status reports for projects conducted with other agency contractors. Understand and apply traditional and agile management practices. Support technical discussions and develop Agile artifacts. Support implementation of project management systems that support Agile methodologies. Assist in the analysis, selection, design, development, and implementation of software applications. Understand and apply technical or procedural standards, including but not limited to NIST 800-53 and ISO 38500. Build relationships and awareness of the S-86 office, its services and its role in IT systems and services delivery. Provide communication support to promote awareness and education on OCIO's S-86 topics and initiatives. Develop or coordinate development of deliverables: traditional project artifacts such as communication plans, etc., status reports, cost models, briefings and reports, project-specific slide decks, analysis reports on program and project issues and remediation efforts, improvements, and risks, stakeholder reports, updates to SharePoint and Team sites, briefing decks, routine reporting and outreach to stakeholders and agile related artifacts.
