The IT Inventory Specialist will work with a close knit team in the areas of procurement and asset management. They will be responsible for ensuring work is completed in a timely manner.
This is a hybrid role where you would be able to work from home one or two days per week depending on workload. Office location is Manchester, CT.

Responsibilities
Create and send purchase orders for hardware, software, and other services
Maintain shipping and receiving records all purchases
Maintain stock of hardware needed on a day-to-day basis
Assist in shipping items
Resolve account payable and invoicing issues
Assist in device management
Communicate proactively with personnel to satisfy their purchasing needs, identify problems, create solutions, and discuss improvements with manager
Issue request for quotations, proposals, or bids
Maintain tracking of assets both on and offsite using asset management software
Perform and document periodic asset audits
Other related duties assigned as needed
Periodically build and facilitate pickup of recycle pallet
Required Qualifications
Excellent customer service/relationship management skills
Excellent organization skills
Excellent verbal and written communication skills to technical and non-technical audiences of various levels in the organization (e.g. executive, management, individual contributors)
Excellent problem solving, team and time management skills managing multiple deadlines for self and others
Proficiency to operate independently as well as with a team
Exceptional organization skills with an emphasis on quality assurance and process creation/implementation
Ability to communicate effectively with both internal and external customers to resolve issues that impact customer satisfaction
Capability to learn and assimilate new technology/applications/processes quickly
Team player mentality and willingness to share knowledge with others
High attention to detail
Ability to multi-task in a fast- paced environment, possess a strong sense of urgency
Preferred Qualifications
Knowledge of supply chain or procurement functions and procedures within an IT environment
Basic knowledge of supply chain or procurement functions and procedures within an IT environment
Basic knowledge of vendor relations
Experience using SAP
Experience in and Asset Tracking/Ticketing Platform
Proficient in Microsoft Excel
