Serves as a primary resource for interoperability related project planning and support. Plays a crucial role in designing, implementing, and maintaining Health Level Seven (HL7) interfaces within our healthcare information systems, with a specific focus on leveraging Corepoint Integration Engine. Provides solutions by evaluating, recommending, configuring, and installing technology to meet complex customer requirements. Manages resources and projects to effectively implement systems per department standards. Serves as a technical advisor for assisting in the development and implementation of standards, new technologies, and best practices.
Design, develop, and implement HL7 interfaces using Corepoint Integration Engine to facilitate the seamless exchange of healthcare information between different systems. Collaborate with internal stakeholders to align HL7 implementations with organizational and industry standards while maximizing the capabilities of Corepoint Integration Engine Responsible for writing interface specification documents, configuring, data manipulation, unit testing, and supporting of delivered interfaces. Competent and knowledgeable of HL7 standards, general HIS system integration and interface related practices within the healthcare environment Requirements gathering and communication skills (both written and verbal). Participate in cross-functional meetings and provide technical expertise on HL7-related matters, especially those involving CorePoint Understanding of data exchange protocols like SFTP, FTPs, and AS2 Acquires clinical healthcare knowledge on processes and department functions across various areas of the enterprise to the extent required by position and projects. Develops and implements cost savings and performance improvement processes. Participates in on-call coverage when necessary. Perform other duties as assigned and/or assume additional responsibilities as required. Identifies and reduces unsafe practices that may result in harm to patients, visitors and employees. Recognizes and takes appropriate action to reduce risks and hazards to promote safety for patients, visitors and employees. Requires use of electronic mail, time and attendance software, learning management software and intranet. Must adhere to all DCH Health System policies and procedures. All other duties as assigned. Proven experience in HL7 interface development and implementation within healthcare settings. In-depth knowledge of HL7 standards, including understanding message types, segments, and data types. Hands-on experience with Corepoint Integration Engine is preferred Bachelor's degree and Healthcare experience is preferred. Experience with healthcare information systems, EHRs, and interoperability standards. Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to make formal presentations required. Exhibits strong interpersonal skills. Must be able to read, write legibly, speak, and comprehend English. Requirements: Light Work Must be able to perform the duties with or without reasonable accommodation. Hearing and vision must be normal or corrected to within normal range. Physical presence onsite is essential. OTHER JOB FACTORS Must have a valid Alabama driver's license and the ability to travel to all Health System facilities.
