Job Summary:
The Information Technology Generalist is responsible for implementing and/or managing complex systems and solutions via the integration of a broad spectrum of individual hardware and software technologies.
Performs administrative, and technical procedures on information systems and possesses knowledge of the following functional areas: systems design, systems and network administration, programmer/analyst, information technology support, and multimedia.
This position may be available for remote work within Arizona (1 day per week in the office/hoteling - Wednesday).
Job Duties:
• Perform IT training, quality assurance audits, technical writing, security maintenance, basic programming, and/or system testing with the contracted vendor for a licensing system
• Executes and monitors production jobs; troubleshoots production problems and recommends/implements solutions
• Writes/maintains technical and user manuals/system documentation/reports
• Design/develop/implement training documentation/course/lecture materials
• Troubleshoot hardware and software problems
• Develop, update, and maintain agency IT inventory
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities (KSAs):
Knowledge:
• Knowledge of the principles, concepts, practices, methods, and techniques of IT and Continuous Process Improvement
• Business and management principles involved in strategic planning, policy analysis, program evaluation, and resource allocation
• Extensive knowledge of reference materials such as Arizona Revised Statutes, Arizona Administrative Code, applicable agency manuals, and policies and procedures
Skills:
• Strong customer service
• Excellent interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills
Abilities:
• Balance, prioritize, and organize multiple tasks
• Work collaboratively in teams and across organizations
• Synthesize feedback and adjust plans accordingly
• Build strong relationships inside and outside the organization
Selective Preference(s):
• Associate's degree plus 1 - 3 years of experience, or equivalent experience, in place of associate's degree
