Investor Referrals: Property Management Company

My business partner and I are looking for a Property Management Company that knows how to work with investors, is trustworthy, professional, and can help us scale our rental portfolio.

We have several good PM's in Milwaukee I can recommend, but they all have their focus on a particular market segment. Some focus on SF and duplxes, some on medium to large MF, some in high end, some in affordable housing. Maybe a topic for another YouTube video.. Also check out the RPAWI. org. Anyway, what type of property do you need to be managed? And where?

Our focus is SF and MFH (Duplex and Triplex).

Areas vary, but mainly B and C neighborhoods.

I would recommend that you look into joining NARPM! Good luck & happy investing!

would NOT recommend going with a small mom & pop PMC.
While they often, initially give great service, they are typically unorganized - which leads to problems down the road.
Make sure a PMC has a GREAT website, with lots of content and also software with Owner & Tenant Portals - this is the 21st Century and there's NO good reason NOT to have these!
Make sure they are properly licensed also.
Lastly, ask a LOT of questions about the details of their processes. How can they provide consistent services if they don't have well-defined processes?

Sorry, I generally don't want to discredit businesses. My point was that NARPM is a surprisingly poor choice when it comes to identifying PMs with only 5 listed. A simple Google business search gives you 126 results
