Job Title: Automotive Inventory AssistantJob Description:As an Automotive Inventory Assistant, you will play a crucial role in managing and maintaining inventory for automotive dealerships or related businesses. Your responsibilities will involve overseeing the stock of vehicles and ensuring accurate records of all automotive parts and accessories. This role requires attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.Key Responsibilities:1. **Inventory Management:**Monitor and control the inventory of vehicles, parts, and accessories.Conduct regular audits to ensure accurate advertising.Coordinate with different departments to reconcile discrepancies and update inventory records accordingly.2. **Data Entry and Documentation:**Accurately input data related to incoming and outgoing inventory into computer systems including new and used units.Maintain organized and up-to-date records of all automotive units.Generate reports on inventory status and provide regular updates to management.4. **Communication:**Liaise with sales, service, and other relevant departments to understand inventory needs.Communicate effectively with team members and management regarding inventory-related issues and solutions.5. **Quality Control:**Conduct inspections of incoming inventory to ensure quality standards are met.Identify and report any defective or damaged items to the appropriate department for resolution.6. **Process Improvement:**Identify areas for process improvement in inventory management.Work with the team to implement best practices and streamline inventory-related processes.7. **Customer Service:**Assist in addressing customer inquiries related to vehicle availability and parts availability.Ensure a positive customer experience by providing accurate and timely information.Requirements:High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or training in inventory management is a plus.Proven experience in inventory control, preferably in the automotive industry.Strong computer skills, including proficiency in inventory management software and Microsoft Office.Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.Attention to detail and accuracy in data entry.Effective communication skills.Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.Knowledge of automotive parts and products is an advantage.This job description is a general overview and may be subject to modifications based on the specific requirements of the hiring organization.
