Position Overview:
As an IT Help Desk Intern at Lee Spring Company, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our IT systems by providing timely and effective support to our internal users. This internship offers valuable hands-on experience in troubleshooting hardware and software issues, maintaining IT infrastructure, and delivering top-notch customer service within a manufacturing environment.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Technical Support - Respond to help desk inquiries from employees regarding hardware, software, network, and other IT-related issues, providing timely assistance and resolutions. Troubleshooting - Diagnose and resolve technical problems encountered by end-users, utilizing troubleshooting techniques and IT tools to identify root causes and implement solutions. Hardware Maintenance - Assist in the setup, configuration, and maintenance of computer systems, printers, scanners, and other hardware devices used in the manufacturing process. Software Support - Install, configure, and troubleshoot software applications used by employees for various tasks, ensuring compatibility, security, and optimal performance. User Training - Provide basic training and guidance to employees on IT systems, applications, and best practices to enhance their productivity and efficiency. Documentation - Maintain accurate records of help desk tickets, technical issues, resolutions, and IT procedures to facilitate knowledge sharing and improve support efficiency. Inventory Management - Assist in managing IT inventory, including tracking hardware and software assets, conducting audits, and coordinating equipment deployments as needed. Security Compliance - Adhere to company policies and procedures related to IT security, data protection, and compliance with industry regulations, ensuring the integrity and confidentiality of sensitive information. Job Requirements:
Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field. Basic knowledge of computer hardware, software, networking, or operating systems Strong problem-solving skills and analytical thinking with a passion for technology. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with employees at all levels of the organization Familiarity with Windows Desktop and Server platform is preferred. Proficiency in written and spoken English.
