Position Overview:
We are seeking a Design Operations Coordinator with a flair for interior design and an eye for operational detail. This role is a blend of creative design tasks and essential operational duties including marketing, hiring, and office management in our Orinda office.

Responsibilities:
Actively participate in the interior design process, understanding and translating client needs into actionable design plans. Support day-to-day office operations, contributing to a smooth and efficient work environment. Engage in hiring processes by posting job listings, filtering applications, and conducting initial screening of candidates. Assist in marketing efforts to elevate the brand's presence and attract potential clients and talent. Facilitate effective communication between clients, team members, and external partners. Draft floor plans and architectural drawings using CAD tools. Manage and coordinate the permitting process with relevant city authorities. Assist in preparing and submitting applications for building and other permits. Participate in continuous learning and development related to interior design and tools. Contributing to the overall growth and success of the company. Requirements:
Proven experience in a similar role. Relevant education and experience in Interior Design. Experience using AI tools such as ChatGPT in your work. Strong knowledge of design principles, materials, finishes, lighting design, and space planning. Proficiency in software such as SketchUp, Revit, Bluebeam, Rhinoceros 3D, and Adobe Creative Suite PREFERRED. Strong organizational skills with the ability to juggle multiple tasks efficiently. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. A collaborative mindset, ready to work in a vibrant, fast-paced setting.
