Job DescriptionLaSalle Network is seeking an Interim Accounts Payable Manager for a client in Geneva, IL within the manufacturing and distribution space. As the Interim Accounts Payable Manager, you will play a critical role in managing the entire accounts payable process, ensuring accuracy, efficiency and compliance with company policies and regulations. This role involves supervising a team, maintaining vendor relationships and optimizing payment procedures. They are seeking a passionate and experienced Accounts Payable Manager that can start full time immediately as their current manager is going on medical leave. Interim Accounts Payable Manager Responsibilities: Oversee and manage the accounts payable team, including hiring, training and performance evaluations Provide guidance and support to team members, ensuring timely and accurate completion of tasks Develop and maintain efficient accounts payable procedures and workflows Review and approve invoices, expense reports and payment requests Monitor payment deadlines to ensure timely and accurate payments Establish and maintain strong relationships with vendors, resolving any payment discrepancies or issues Negotiate payment terms and discounts with vendors to optimize payment processes Ensure compliance with company policies, accounting principles and regulatory requirements Implement and enforce internal controls to safeguard company assets and prevent fraud Prepare and present reports on accounts payable status, including aging reports and cash flow projections Analyze financial data to identify areas for process improvement and cost-saving opportunities Utilize accounting software and tools to manage accounts payable functions Recommend and implement technological solutions to enhance efficiency and accuracy Interim Accounts Payable Manager Requirements: Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance or related field is a plus but not required Proven experience in accounts payable or similar role, with managerial experience required Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial regulations and best practices Proficiency in accounting software and MS Excel, and familiarity with NetSuite and Concur are advantageous Excellent leadership, communication and problem-solving skills Attention to detail and ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment Strong analytical and decision-making abilities If you are interested in this role and meet the qualifications, please apply below!
