The Opportunity Insurance Tax Processing Associate - Remote Opportunity (must be located in FL, GA, AL, TX, SC, VA, PA, or MI) Pay starting at $45,000 per year We are seeking to add an Insurance Tax Processing Associate to our team! This role is a remote opportunity . Our Business Tax Team plays an important role in state tax filings. This includes completing surplus lines filing confirmations, verifying executive incense information, and submissions of surplus lines filings for various states. Some duties include timely completion of monthly, quarterly, semi-annual, and annual tax filings, identifying system discrepancies, reviewing documents, and tracking filings.

Responsibilities include: Submit monthly, quarterly, semi-annual, and annual tax filings for assigned states Ensure affidavits/filing forms required to file taxes are generated or received from other departments timely Review documents received for accuracy and request corrections if needed Identify system discrepancies and liaise with appropriate department to resolve in a timely manner; m aintain a discrepancy list with items for follow-up Enter policy data electronically and upload required documents on state surplus tax websites Track filings in Excel spreadsheet as instructed Follow-up on tagged items within required time periods Select invoices to pay in various states and forward to Supervisor for approval Post invoices from Underwriting system to Accounting system as needed Generate tax affidavits for Underwriters as needed Notify Supervisor and Operations of any company or tax changes Respond to Tax Questions Review/reconcile aging Assist Supervisor with other tasks as requested Job Requirements: Associate degree is preferred but not required. Two years of experience along with a High School Diploma or General Education Diploma (G.E.D.) will also be considered.
