A Day in the Life: Conduct research on patients to gather necessary information for insurance verification. Update and maintain accurate demographic details of patients in the system. Identify and verify insurance coverage for air ambulance services. Input and update payor information in the system for proper billing and reimbursement. Collaborate with internal teams to ensure accurate and efficient data management. Communicate with patients to resolve any insurance-related inquiries or issues. Liaise with insurance carriers to address insurance verification and authorization requirements. Assist in resolving any discrepancies or denials related to insurance verification. Stay updated on insurance policies, industry regulations, and billing guidelines. Maintain thorough documentation and records of insurance verification activities. Adhere to confidentiality and privacy regulations, such as HIPAA, in handling patient information. General administration duties assigned. Other duties deemed necessary for the function of the department. The Background we are looking for: Minimum of 1-year Insurance Verification Minimum of 2 years of experience in healthcare revenue cycle functions. Proficient in Microsoft Excel and other data analysis tools Personal computer proficiency, including printing, scanning, E-mail, Calendar functions, Zoom, Fax, and telephony software.
