Our vision is to transform how the world uses information to enrich life forall.Micron Technology is a world leader in innovating memory and storage solutions that accelerate the transformation of information into intelligence, inspiring the world to learn, communicate and advance faster than ever.As a Facilities Instrumentation and Controls Engineer at Micron, you will be responsible for providing high quality Engineering services and specifications for the planning, design, construction, operation, and maintenance of specific Facilities systems in support of Semiconductor Manufacturing across the Micron Global Manufacturing Network with higher focus on USA. In this role, you will support the Facilities Teams and Manufacturing sites across Micron Facilities as a domain guide through all phases of design, construction, installation, start-up, operations and maintenance and will ensure environmental, safety, regulatory, and code compliance.Design and Plan Systems and BuildingsProvide experience in application of controls and instrumentation for process systemsDevelop, review, and maintain the Micron Global system, equipment, and component Standards and SpecificationsEnsure designs align with all applicable standards, codes, and regulationsReviewing of the capacity planning databases (with Base Build capacities, POC assignments, and actual field conditions) across the network and validating utilization and diversity factor assumptionsLead capacity and scenario planning, including evaluation of system and distribution capacity impacts based on scenario changesAdvise sites on periodic system status presentations (system capacity, actual load, and projected loads based on all approved scenarios, key system accomplishments, and challenges/issues)Advise on scope, schedule, and cost estimates for Facilities infrastructure additions or modificationsProvide Project SupportProvide Micron Global Standards and Specifications and support the Engineering and Design development for the construction and installation of new Facilities infrastructureProvide support for cost and schedule estimates and justification for approvalProvide supervision and coordination of Consultant resources requiredEnsure appropriate communication with local Facilities, Design, Construction, Procurement and Manufacturing collaborators as required to deliver project objectivesPerform timely review of design packages and ensure that scope meets customer and requestor needsProvide Technical Support, Leadership, and ExpertiseAssist with development and execution of the controls-related scope in facility expansion and sustaining projectsAnalyze system designs to identify improvements that will result in better performance, efficiency gains, reduced maintenance, and cost savingsSupport sites with problem analysis using standard tools and methodologies as requestedConduct risk and failure mode and effects analysis to eliminate single points of failure and mitigate riskBenchmark within and external to Micron sites on Best Known Methods (BKM) of Facilities buildings and systemsDevelop, own, and maintain Global System Standards, Specifications, and Best Known Method (BKM) standards for your subject areaMaintain groundbreaking applicable domain knowledge Technological advances and innovation, Sustainability, Chemical theory, Instrumentation control theory, High purity principles, etc.)Job Requirements:Bachelor's Degree in Control System Engineering, Software Engineering or related field requiredMinimum 5-10 year experience preferably in Facilities Engineering or SemiconductorTechnical expertise, knowledge, and experience on Facilities and Semiconductor WonderwareSCADA Systems, PLC's, instrumentation and Systems integration to ERP and like facilities software applicationsFamiliarity with data engineering and organization a plusAbility to prioritize and schedule workload and work on multiple tasks concurrentlyThe US base salary range that Micron Technology estimates it could pay for this full-time position is:$99,000.00 - $169,000.00Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries of the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional job-related factors, including knowledge, skills, experience, tenure and relevant education or training. The pay scale is subject to change depending on business needs.
