Overview
The St. Louis Fed's economic education program develops world-class curriculum and online learning resources to support teachers and professors as they teach about economics, personal finance, and the Federal Reserve.
As an economic education Instructional Designer, you will report to our Research Officer over economic education and work with our economic education team to create and develop engaging learning experiences. Also, you will use your expertise in instructional design, pedagogy, and industry best practices to help develop and produce interactive and engaging online resources for K-16 educators to use in their classrooms. We welcome individuals from a variety of settings including instructional design, education, technical writing and other learning and development fields. Responsibilities Storyboard and produce interactive and engaging K-16 online learning resources such as online learning modules and video with assessments. Collaborate and consult with economic education team and educators to plan and develop an online learning strategy and help implement that strategy. . Plan, build, and support development of CMS website to host St. Louis Fed and Federal Reserve economic education resources for K-16 educators. Establish relationships with peers and educators to provide a positive customer experience. Additional responsibilities; this description is not an exhaustive list of the responsibilities of this position. Qualifications Bachelor's degree, Masters preferred, in instructional design or commensurate experience. 5 years' experience working in an instructional design role or learning and development. Familiarity with instructional design technology tools and best practices. Knowledge of and experience using popular ed tech tools commonly used by K-12 teachers. Experience using authoring tools to design to build online learning modules. Experience using video production tools to produce short educational videos. Experience building web content on CMS websites (no code, low code). Excellent business writing, consulting, and communication skills. Salary: $100,000 - $115,000
