A Kight Home Center (a division of Carter Lumber) Installed Framing Project Manager will perform new construction, repairs, and remodeling to single and multi-family homes according to blueprints and customer's contract. Knowledge of building materials, local building codes and proper installation techniques will be vital to this position's success as well as a strong commitment to customer service. A strong belief in the mission and goals of the company are necessary to this position.
Requirements: Minimum of 5 years of house framing experience. Ability to understand blueprints accurately. Possesses a valid drivers' license and company requirements for extensive use of motor vehicles and travel. Ability to schedule and organize work plans. Confidently and carefully works with carpentry hand tools. Capable and knowledgeable of use of ladders and work platforms. Works comfortably and safely from heights. Maintains assigned equipment. Considerate and works well with others. Accurately receives and processes work instructions of detailed drawings. Very punctual, reliable, and willing to take direction. Works independently, safely, and efficiently. Responsibilities: Construction: Analyzes jobsite prior to beginning of the job to ensure that quality construction can be done. Reviews construction documents and understands material needed to build. Frames buildings according to blueprint. Create and support a safe work environment on the job site to protect the interest of the company at all times. Customer Service: Ensures that customers are treated with the utmost respect and given the highest quality of workmanship. This is accomplished through timely completion of the job, attention to detail, following the company's code of conduct and the ability to react to problems and complaints in a patient and understanding manner. Knowledge & Training: Responsible for acquiring the training needed to build the product safely and efficiently. Responsible for becoming certified in the product/area that is being installed to ensure that we are providing the best service to our customers.
