The operation consists of two concentrators, crushed-ore leach pad and stacking system, a low-grade run-of-mine (ROM) leaching system; four SX plants; and three EW tank houses that produce copper cathode.Morenci is a unique company town where our employees and their families can reconnect with nature through hiking, fishing, camping, hunting and numerous parks. Visit the Morenci town website to learn more.DescriptionUnder close supervision, install, maintain and optimize the distributed computing-communication environment, including desktop, network infrastructure, voice and data communication systems. Provide field technical support to the end-users and operational systems.Set-up, deliver and install personal computers, telephones, networking and peripheral equipment using established and defined procedures and processesPerform preventative maintenance on voice and data communication systems and associated hardware maintaining accurate documentationActively participate in Safety and Environmental programs, ensure MIS policy compliance and site operational goalsPerform voice, network, and PC and basic wireless troubleshooting to isolate and diagnose infrastructure problemsPerform other duties as requiredQualificationsMinimum QualificationsTwo (2) years of experience in computer/electronic systems hardware/software troubleshooting, maintenance and repairDemonstrated technical expertise in the installation, repair and maintenance of PC hardware, software, printers, fax machines and telephone handsetsAbility to effectively analyze, troubleshoot and diagnose issues with computers, peripherals, cellular and voice systemsBasic understanding of networking concepts, protocols and technology including wireless networking equipmentBasic knowledge of voice systems (PBX/VoIP)Skill in effective communication, both verbal and writtenAbility to work weekends, holidays, rotating shifts and both scheduled and unscheduled overtime as business dictatesMust be customer service-oriented and possess good organizational skillsAbility to develop and maintain awareness of occupational hazards and safety precautionsSkilled in following safety practices and recognizing hazardsPreferredHigh School diploma or GEDA+ CertificationNetwork+ CertificationCriteria/ConditionsAbility to understand and apply verbal and written work and safety-related instructions and procedures given in EnglishAbility to communicate in English with respect to job assignments, job procedures, and applicable safety standardsMust be able to work in a potentially stressful environmentWork is performed in a mine or manufacturing plant setting, which may include exposure to extremes in temperature and humidity, moving mechanical parts, risk of electrical shock, toxic chemicals, explosives, fumes or airborne particlesMay be required to work a non-standard schedule which may include shift work (other than day shift) in a 24/7/365 operationWhile performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, sit, demonstrate manual dexterity, climb stairs, talk, hear and seeOccasionally may be required to lift moderately heavy objects up to fifty (50) pounds during the course of the workdayPersonal protective equipment is required when performing work in a mine, outdoor, manufacturing or plant environment, including hard hat, hearing protection, safety glasses, safety footwear, and as needed, respirator, rubber steel-toe boots, protective clothing, gloves and any other protective equipment as requiredFreeport-McMoRan promotes a drug/alcohol free work environment through the use of mandatory pre-employment drug testing and on-going random drug testing as per applicable State LawsWhat We Offer YouThe estimated pay range for this role is currently$25.00 - $34.50/hour.This range reflects base salary only and does not include bonus payments, benefits or retirement contributions. Actual base pay is determined by experience, qualifications, skills and other job-related factors. This role is eligible for additional discretionary and incentive payment considerations based on company and individual performance.
