As an Information Technology Specialist I you will have the opportunity to:
Provide support and maintenance, upgrades, and changes to the DTSC network The incumbent is the primary contact and conduit for the DTSC Enterprise Network Assist the deployment and maintenance of network technology, including wireless to DTSC Regional and Satellite Offices Work closely and productively with the Enterprise Architect and other IT analysts to support the DTSC technical architecture Keep management apprised of status and issues Monitor the DTSC environment for network or telecommunications security issues and provides technical support to the DTSC Information Security Officer (ISO) with identification, remediation and prevention of intrusion, malware, or phishing attacks Desirable Qualifications We Look For:
5+ years of experience in performing administration, configuration, installation, deployments and design on enterprise networks preferred Knowledge of network technologies, standards and topologies Experience with network hardware components and software management tools Experience in support and/or administration of enterprise network systems, such as firewalls, switches, routers, VPN gateways, and wireless networks Experience in support/administration of cloud virtual networks such as AWS and Azure Experience with network troubleshooting and monitoring tools such as SolarWinds Orion, Junos Space, and Wireshark, Gigamon Knowledge of information technology and trends sufficient to advise customers and staff in their use Knowledge of Enterprise Network Architecture and High Availability Design Knowledge of project management practices to ensure projects stay on schedule and appropriate action is taken when problems occur Ability to act as a team contributor on projects involving complex architectures and system configurations Ability to positively influence others to achieve results that are in the best interests of the organization Cisco CCNA or CCNP certification preferred Ability to create a service-oriented culture among organizational entities and staff to provide ahigh level of service to customers Ability to resolve problems in a quick and efficient manner Ability to execute precise actions through appropriate communications and change controls Ability to assimilate new complex technologies quickly, match the technologies to business requirements, and disseminate detailed technical information to appropriate audiences effectively Ability to perform complex, detail-oriented network infrastructure administration and support tasks You will find additional information about the job in the .
