Join our client's team as a Infracture Architect! This is a new full-time opportunity for one of our clients in Denver, Colorado. The client is a local government agency who is looking for a proactive individual to enhance business processes by analyzing requirements, collaborating with teams, and implementing effective systems solutions.
Job Details: Position: Infrastructure Architect Duration: Full time Location: Denver, CO Job Description Infrastructure Architecture As Infrastructure Architect, you will work with the respective architecture domains within the enterprise, in conjunction with the enterprise architect, to lead the effort in the rethink and rebuild activities surrounding all aspects of compute, network, storage, physical/virtual environments, and the cyber security safeguards that support them. You will support the development and optimization and lead the execution of the infrastructure architecture projects and operations; ensuring that the activities performed on a project/operational level are in support of the enterprise strategic initiatives. You will coordinate with systems, network, storage, virtual, and cloud engineering to conduct performance tuning and capacity planning of infrastructure systems, document the appropriate descriptions that depict those systems, as well as maintaining the technology segment of the enterprise architecture management tools, capabilities, and repositories.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: ESSENTIAL: Define, design, and manage the enterprise infrastructure architecture (logical/physical relationship(s) between compute systems, networks, and storage components, whether they be physical or virtual, that support enterprise-wide business and technical capabilities) Define, design, and manage the logical and physical diagrams that describe how systems are integrated, communicate, and support the enterprise business services Provide oversite and management of the enterprise Infrastructure/Technology Portfolio Management (ITPM) system to determine which technologies require any retain, retire, refresh, and redesign initiatives to affect baseline and target business capabilities Coordinate with Enterprise, Solution, Data, Application, and Cyber Security Architecture to reconcile baseline infrastructure configuration(s) juxtaposed the direction of these respective domains to manifest a cohesive strategic approach Coordinate with Enterprise Architecture to reconcile the business and technical requirements, develop the appropriate technical requirements and design, and demonstrate the relationship between people, process, and technology across the enterprise Partner with Systems, Network, Storage, and Cyber Security Engineering to define, design, and manage systems engineering best practice, the operational management and configuration thereof, and align those activities/deliverables/projects with the overarching strategic initiatives of the Architecture Roadmap All job-related duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor of Science: Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Systems preferred; or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience Minimum of 7 years of related experience Experience with developing technical requirements and solutions implied from business requirements; understanding the baseline compute, network, and storage architectures and defining the gaps toward reaching a target architecture appropriate to the evolving business needs Understand, architect, manage, and oversee the development and operation of existing systems, and reconciling the ongoing business requirements to make refresh and redesign recommendation(s) purposed to futureproofing the enterprise infrastructure architecture Must understand the operational management practices, using the appropriate operational management systems, across the technical domains, necessary to install, develop, configure, update, and/or modify all enterprise infrastructure within the enterprise Must understand the core infrastructure backbone across all technical environments (dev, test, staging, and production), within/without the enterprise, to determine how to triage the deployment of technical infrastructure/systems to improve the enterprise IT Service Delivery posture, and the customers they support Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite. Ability to communicate effectively, orally and in writing. Ability to execute sound strategic and holistic judgment. Ability to manage time and workload effectively, which includes planning, organizing, prioritizing, and attention to detail. Excellent organizational and analytical skills
OR An equivalent combination of education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities as demonstrated by a combination of the above and a proficiency in: VMWare architectures and implementation designs Data center management suites such as Microsoft Systems Center Microsoft Certified Solutions Expert (MCSE)
