Job Description and Duties Under the direction of the Information Technology Manager I, the Information Technology Specialist I is a member of the Enterprise Architecture Server/Cloud administration team responsible for administrating the Department of Finances cloud environment. This position will provide technical support for the Department of Finances' Microsoft O365 Software-as-a-Service (SaaS), Azure Platform-as-a-Service (PaaS), and Azure Infrastructure-as-a-Service (IaaS) environments.
The Information Technology Specialist I must have the ability to learn new concepts in cloud computing technology (e.g., PaaS, IaaS, and SaaS) and Azure Active Directory administration and maintain cooperative working relationships with team members and business customers. The incumbent must possess strong organizational, analytical, and verbal/written communication skills; works both independently and in a team environment; participate in meetings, provide status reports, and complete work assignments in an effective, accurate, and timely manner. Special Requirements Virtual interviews via web portals or phone may be offered as deemed appropriate and feasible. Finance operates under a hybrid telework model, which requires employees to work in the office for a minimum of two days during the workweek. The hybrid policy is subject to change, and additional in-office days may be required at management's discretion or based on operational needs. For positions eligible for full-time telework, employees may be required to report to the office under certain circumstances. Employees will be expected to report to the office within a reasonable amount of time.
