Description

Position Summary: This position is primarily responsible for performing a variety of tasks associated with the support of the Core and other related banking applications being used at the bank. This position also provides daily assistance and operational support to bank-wide staff for all other related applications as described below.
Essential Functions: 1. Performs the daily review and quality control of RCIF application data entry into the core system. 2. Performs customer research, including subpoena and large customer requests as directed. 3. Performs tasks associated with IRS reporting, including but not limited to: • Monitors and tracks foreign account holders, assuring that the bank is current with W-8BEN forms to ensure accurate IRS reporting. • Performs quality control of customer Savings Bond Redemption tax records. • Assists with monitoring, tracking and responding to IRS CP2100 - Notice of Tax Payer Name/TIN discrepancies, including customer research and monitoring of backup withholding according to regulations. • Provides internal support to Bank wide personnel on customer tax reporting. 4. Supports, monitors, reviews and resolves Help Desk tickets relating to Core Systems operational issues. 5. Generates customized reports utilizing (JH Cognos) as requested. 6. Provides level two support to internal customers, working with all various Operations areas for application and procedural issues. 7. Presents and discusses operational issues, explains procedural changes or efficiency recommendations at department meetings. 8. Assists with planning, coordination, testing and communications of Core System Application upgrades and releases, which includes but are not limited to SilverLake Core, Synergy, Synapsis or other JH Miscellaneous systems or modules. 9. Demonstrates a strong knowledge of bank products and services. 10. Serves on special projects and teams as assigned, seeking direction from Bank Operations Management when appropriate. 11. Provides professional, courteous and efficient service to all internal customers. 12. Performs other miscellaneous duties or special assignments as required or assigned.

Other Duties and Responsibilities: 1. Attends all required meetings and training. 2. Complies with and maintains current knowledge of all applicable federal and state banking regulations, as well as with all bank and department policies and procedures. 3. Serves on various committees as assigned.

Position Qualifications and Education Requirements: • High school graduate or equivalent required; education or training in the administration and use of system applications or other technical related discipline helpful. • Jack Henry Silverlake Core Banking application experience preferred, but not required. • Three to five years banking experience a plus. • Solid knowledge of teller and customer service functions. • Solid knowledge of banking regulations, retail banking operations and procedures. • Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends when necessary. • Excellent technical, conceptual, analytical, problem solving skills. • Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel and other Windows based applications; comfortable learning new software. • Interacts harmoniously and effectively with others, focusing upon the attainment of goals and objectives through a commitment to teamwork. • Ability to work independently and as a team member. • Ability to adapt to changes in priorities quickly. • Strong written and verbal communication, interpersonal, time management and organizational skills. • Commitment to ongoing learning. • Is dependable and conforms to punctuality and attendance standards. • Able to travel to all bank locations.
Working Conditions: • Physical surroundings are generally pleasant and comfortable with protection from weather conditions but not necessarily from temperature changes. • May sit or stand with freedom of movement on a regular basis. • Extensive operation of computers and other office equipment requiring dexterity and coordination and frequent use of hands.
