We are currently seeking an Information and Referral Specialist for our 2-1-1 Information & Referral Services in Central Ohio. Our organization connects residents of Franklin County with comprehensive and up-to-date information about social, health, and government services.
What You'll Do:
Provide exceptional customer service by promptly responding to inquiries from the public.
Handle inbound calls efficiently and courteously.
Utilize strong written and verbal communication skills to accurately document issues.
Quickly and empathetically assess caller needs.
Perform database searches and evaluate results to address caller concerns effectively.
Maintain accurate data entries.
Collaborate with external partners as needed to support caller needs.
Uphold strict confidentiality and information security standards.
Demonstrate the ability to manage individual and family crises.
Fulfill duties in accordance with professional standards and protocols governing Information & Referral services.
Prepare two case narratives annually.
Perform other duties as necessary to fulfill the responsibilities of the position.
Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent.
Minimum of 2 years of customer service, call center, or related experience.
Obtain AIRS certification within 12 months of hire.
